What is your favorite TV show? Why? There is no favorite show, but I like HGTV. They have programs about cooking and real estate, and they talk about all the problems of a house and teach you how to improve it.

What do watch the most? Why? I like to watch the news, but I get it from the BBC (in England) with a dish. You get news from all over the world. I wish our TV would report more on things like health care, which is so expensive here. In Europe, the first thing they ask is not about payment; it’s the last, and usually there is none.

What else do you watch? CNN and HBO, for movies. I like PBS; Bill Moyers has a good program. I like to see old shows, too, like “The Cosby Show.”

Do watch sports? Oh yes, tennis, especially if Spain is playing.

Is TV getting better or worse? In U.S. TV, there is too much sensationalism. When I first came to this country and the president would speak, there were people applauding from the left and the right. Now, it’s less and less; they try to hide the truth and use fear.
