NAPLES Pat Carroll has been named the new chair of the Collier County School Board.
School board members voted unanimously for Carroll at the annual organizational meeting this afternoon. Kathy Curatolo was named vice chair.
The positions will be held for one year until the next organizational meeting in November 2009.
Curatolo and Julie Sprague were both sworn into office by Circuit Judge Lauren Brodie. Both were elected by voters earlier this month to serve four-year terms.
