NAPLES Updates from the Coconut Bowl at Lely:
Naples has won the Coconut Bowl, 50-33, at Trojan Stadium. The Golden Eagles take the Class 3A-District 14 title, and lead the series with Lely, 21-14.
Naples will play host to Riverdale in the first round of the playoffs on Nov. 21, and Lely will play at Class 3A-District 13 champion Dunbar.

Ohio State-bound Carlos Hyde scored on a 22-yard run with 3:13 left, and now Naples is ahead 50-33.

Naples' Cesar Vaca-Hurtado made have sealed this one. The defensive back made an interception with 3:23 left.

Not so fast. The Trojans score on Quinton Antoine's 12-yard from Dennis Marcelin, then Nick Thorstenson catches the two-point conversion from Marcelin with 5:38 left. It's 43-33, AND Lely has recovered an onside kick.

And Naples is pulling away. The Golden Eagles scored on Juno Prudhomm's 1-yard run with 6:16 remaining. It's now 43-25.

Naples has some breathing room. Less than two minutes after re-taking the lead, the Golden Eagles extended it on Carlos Hyde's 40-yard touchdown run with a minute left in the third. Nuredini's kick made it 36-25, and they're headed to the fourth quarter at Trojan Stadium. Lely running back Darion Hall fumbled, to set up the Naples scoring drive.

The game of the year is living up to its billing. Naples quarterback Juno Prudhomm scored his second TD of the game, this one from a yard out, and the Golden Eagles lead 29-25 after Nuredini's kick with 2:27 left in the third.

Lely has the lead again, but has had its second extra-point kick blocked. David Isme scored on a 21-yard pass from Dennis Marcelin, but Gerry Reyes' kick was blocked. The Trojans lead, though, 25-22 with 7:49 remaining in third quarter.

Naples has the lead back. Quarterback Juno Prudhomm scored on a 34-yard run. Nuredini's kick makes it 14-13 with 11:50 to go in the first half.

Lely quarterback Dennis Marcelin scored on an 11-yard run to give the Trojans back the lead. Gerry Reyes made the point-after, and it's 13-7 Lely with 4:50 left in the first quarter.

Naples answers on Carlos Hyde's 3-yard run. Puma Nuredini's kick gives the Golden Eagles a 7-6 lead with 6:50 left in the first quarter.

Lely's Darion Hall didn't take long to put the Trojans on top. Hall scored on an 80-yard run with 16 seconds into the first quarter. The kick was blocked, and Lely leads 6-0.
